Northwest Special Recreation Association

Providing outstanding opportunities through recreation for children and adults with disabilities.

The Wheeling Park District is proud to partner with the Northwest Special Recreation Association (NWSRA) to provide exceptional recreational opportunities for individuals of all ages with disabilities. As a member of this 17-district cooperative, we are committed to ensuring that every child and adult, regardless of ability, has access to fun, engaging, and enriching activities. From sports and fitness to arts, drama, and cooking, NWSRA offers after-school, evening, and weekend activities tailored to meet individual needs. In addition, camps, trips, and special events provide even more opportunities for adventure and growth.
